Wonderia Early Game Priority Tier List

The first ten hours of Wonderia decide whether your lobby becomes a cozy factory or a biscuit graveyard. This priority tier list ranks what to chase first, not which legendary looks best on the Steam screenshot board.

Use it beside the main tier list, checklist tool, and crafting guide.

S priority — do these before vanity

  1. Loot discipline: starter Compressed Biscuits and Bandages (counts increased in the v0.5.8.2106 hotfix; joiners get matched supplies).
  2. Hot spring scouting: free-ish Food recovery near spawn when you misplay hunger.
  3. Basic tools: cutting and mining efficiency beats decorative floors.
  4. Workbench + storage adjacency: production spine from the base guide.
  5. Hoe, water, first seeds: farms are combat stats in disguise.
  6. Cooked food pipeline: stop panic-eating insurance biscuits at home.
  7. Copper path: tools and discounted copper weapons; drill routes when gated.
  8. Nearest teleport repair: commute insurance (teleport guide).

If an activity does not serve this list, it is a leisure sidequest.

A priority — same week goals

  • First serious melee + ranged pair (equipment).
  • Portable land vehicle deploy/store comfort (vehicles).
  • Labeled co-op chests and a build lead.
  • One introductory temple clear with empty inventory slots reserved.
  • Tin-tier plan once copper income stabilizes (durability ~300 on many tin arms post-patch).
  • Vendor knowledge for bandage/biscuit five-packs after price QoL.

B priority — spicy but optional early

  • Cosmetic shopping and traveler home flair.
  • Rail megaprojects.
  • Full morph Pokédex energy.
  • Biome-three tourism.
  • Perfect courtyard landscaping.

C priority — early game traps

  • Leaving biome one with no farm.
  • Crafting every sword recipe “to test” before a pickaxe upgrade.
  • Hoarding quest items inside auto-pull crafting chests.
  • Hosting eight players before the host understands multiplayer join flow (update past 2106 if create/join breaks).
  • Ignoring repair until tools shatter in a temple.

Hour-by-hour sample plan

Hour 1: chest, hot spring, tools, tiny farm.
Hour 2: kitchen, storage labels, copper scouting.
Hour 3: copper weapon + ranged, first teleport.
Hour 4: temple attempt or vehicle unlock.
Hour 5+: tin plan, biome-two border petal, co-op role lock-in.

Co-op priority split

  • Host: world stability, teleport plaza, permissions.
  • Crafter: adjacency and ingot math (resources).
  • Farmer: meals before hype weapons.
  • Scout: map pins and safe morph paths (biomes).

Rotate roles weekly so nobody burns out watering crops forever.

Early Wonderia rewards boring excellence. Earn the right to be flashy.

Priority myths to ignore

Myth: Cosmetics are free motivation. Early cosmetics are fine after tools exist; before that they are a wood tax.

Myth: Eight players skip the farm. Eight players eat the farm. Scale meals, do not delete them.

Myth: Morph replaces armor. Morph replaces some answers. Broken armor still matters when a form drops mid-fight.

Myth: Teleports can wait forever. One nearby pad saves more time than a third decorative archway.

Myth: Copper swords are obsolete on day two. Discounted copper lines still onboard joiners and backup loadouts cheaply.

Replace myths with the S-priority list above and your lobby’s argument quality improves overnight. Revisit the main tier list only after these priorities stop failing. If your group finishes Phase S twice in a row without drama, you have earned a flashy biome-two shopping trip.

First weekend milestone board

Hang this board in voice chat and refuse biome tourism until three of five boxes are green:

  1. Farm produces surplus cooked meals two days in a row
  2. Copper tools exist with a spare pick in storage
  3. At least one teleport returns you home safely
  4. A temple is cleared without a full-party wipe
  5. Co-op joiners can find the dump chest without asking twice

Hitting the board early feels slow; skipping it feels slower. Wonderia Early Access rewards groups who treat the first weekend like foundation season, then spend the second weekend showing off morphs and boats with a factory that already works.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Wonderia questions.

What is the single best early Wonderia upgrade?

A working food loop plus basic gathering tools. Weapons matter, but starvation and slow mining fail more lobbies.

Should I rush temples on day one?

Only after tools, cooked food, bandages, and a basic weapon exist. Empty bags help—full bags waste puzzle rewards.

When do vehicles become priority?

After copper tools and a teleport or two. Vehicles amplify a stable base; they do not replace one.

How many players should early game use?

Any size from 1–8 works, but new hosts should learn join flow with two to four friends before a full eight-stack.

Are biscuits S-tier forever?

They are S-tier insurance. Once farms cook reliably, demote biscuits to dungeon snacks.
